I went into the hospital Friday July 25th at about midnight or so with pain in my stomach and some mild bleeding(btw this was my 3rd time going into the hospital due to false labor pains) once we got to the hospital they hooked me all up to a monitor and got me all settled in and checked if my water was leaking and how much bleeding i was having after a couple hours of doing tests and calling my doctor they said i was in LABOR! it was a shock! The nurses said my doctor would not be in for awhile so i was to just lay there and wait and see what time brings. As Brock & I sat there we called our friend Jill who was to be my coach threw this whole process! After hours of naping, talking, pain & excitment. The doctor finally came in and broke my water! WOW that was a crazy experience not only for me but Brock & Jill were watching once my water broke(btw my water broke 2x) everything came pretty fast! I got the epidural and everything was perfect i didn't feel a thing and i was in no pain and just rested until the time came after a few more hours past of talking, checking to see if i was dialated and more excitement as time went on it was time to start pushing!!! I started pushing around 4-5 i think not really sure. Anyways, after 3 hours of pushing the doctor was trying to figure out why the baby was not moving down come to find out he was laying a little funny and by that point i had no more energy. The doctor was going to help pull the baby out but we all decided that a C-section might be the best bet due to how i was feeling and how the baby was laying. The doctor left the room and said he would be back in a bit to start the c-section. Well time went by and the epidural ran out, the doctor was not anywhere near( he went to deliver another baby), and i was in extreme pain and back to the way i was right before the epidural which was not responsive, passing out, not breathing very well and to the point the nurses and everyone was concerned of what would happen if they waited any longer, and by this poit Brock & Jill were very frustrated with the Doctor and nurses for not doing anything for me
Finally it was time we went to the surgery room and to be honest all i know from there is Brock came with and i laid in the surgery room looking around then i passed out when i woke up a beautiful baby boy was right by my face I gave him a kiss and yup you guessed it i passed out. Once i woke up i was in the recovery room and all i could say is can i please go see my BABY! the nurse said i had to wait awhile. When she said that i said what do i have to do to see him, she said wait 45 minutes, eat some ice cubes and move your toes. So i did all that right away and this whole time i was thinking where is my baby! As they took me back to my hospital room i saw my Family and Brock & Clayton come out of the room! I was so happy to know Clayton was in good arms! Brock handed me Clayton and it was the most amazing feeling to hold him for the first time. I only held him for a couple minutes when i had no streangth left and i could not stop shakin due to everything i went through. After i held him My family held Clayton for a bit then Brock told me it was a great thing we did the c-section because when the doctor pulled Clayton out they found out his Cord was wrapped around his neck 4 times! Praise GOD! we did the c-section and he came out alive!!!
The next few days at the hospital consisted of visitors, eating food that i missed during the pregnancy, recovering from the c-section, spending time with Brock & Clayton, paper work, sleeping, medical tests for Clayton, & well basically everything that was the normal procedure for life after a c-section. Finally Wednesday came around and we could go home!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!
There was a short story of my life at the hospital! There are many small stories within the big one, but to go into great detail this blog would be uberly long! If you wanna know more just let me know!
